Marc La Pointe (he/him) navigates the ephemerality of place through an art practice that responds to encounters with memory and material.

After receiving an MFA from the University of Minnesota in 2018, Marc was named a Jerome Fellow at Franconia Sculpture Park. Howard Oransky curated Marc's photograph, and their, into the 2019 exhibition Queer Forms. In 2021, Marc worked alongside artistic director Tamsie Ringler, and Anna Orbovich, website curator and designer, as the project coordinator of Winter is Alive! - an arts carnival in Madison, WI, designed to be a catalyst for contemplation and action to combat the global climate crisis.  Recently, Marc served on the  2022 International Conference on Contemporary Cast Iron Art planning committee - creating social media content to highlight diverse and contemporary metal casting approaches. Marc maintains an interdisciplinary art practice and teaches in the Department of Fine and Performing Arts at Eastern Washington University.
